About This Place

Nestled in the heart of historic St. Augustine, Obi's Fillin' Station offers a vibrant and nostalgic dining experience that perfectly blends classic Americana with fresh, flavorful fare. This beloved family restaurant and diner is a true gem for anyone craving hearty breakfast delights or satisfying, generously portioned burgers and sandwiches. From the moment you step inside, the playful automotive-themed decor sets a fun, inviting atmosphere reminiscent of a retro roadside stop—ideal for families, locals, and travelers seeking a taste of genuine comfort food.

Obi's menu is a celebration of bold flavors and satisfying textures that awaken the senses. The "Half Pound Bacon Cheeseburger" stands out as a crowd favorite: juicy, perfectly seasoned beef topped with smoky bacon and melted cheese, served on a fresh bun that holds its own against the generous patty. For those with a craving for something more adventurous, the "Pink Beetle Hamburger" and the indulgent "Donut Burger" offer unique twists that surprise and delight the palate. Not to be missed are the crave-worthy sides like the "Big Block Piston Rings," extra-large, panko-crusted crispy onion rings with a signature Obi sauce, and the "Lug Nuts," sweet deep-fried corn nuggets dusted with powdered sugar—a playful and scrumptious treat.

Breakfast at Obi's is equally compelling, highlighted by the "Amc Eagle," an all-American breakfast sandwich brimming with scrambled eggs, melted American cheese, and a choice of bacon, ham, or sausage on sourdough, accompanied by golden home fries or comforting grits. The "Chevy Impala," a savory Mexican-inspired breakfast wrap featuring chorizo and pepper jack cheese, delivers a flavorful kick to start the day. Whether brunch or a late lunch, each dish radiates warmth and satisfaction, a testament to Obi’s commitment to freshness and heartiness.

Patrons consistently praise Obi’s attentive service and welcoming ambiance. Frequent visitors admire the staff’s professionalism and friendly manner, noting how servers keep drinks topped off and check in just the right amount. One guest’s experience watching a busy lunch rush handled with grace perfectly captures the essence of Obi’s hospitality. While some have had mixed experiences with specific dishes, the overall sentiment remains overwhelmingly positive—highlighting flavorful burgers, flawless onion rings and fries, and a décor that sparks nostalgia for a golden era of Americana.

Whether you’re an auto enthusiast soaking in the whimsical, vintage atmosphere or a burger aficionado on the hunt for the best between-bun experience in Florida, Obi's Fillin' Station delivers a genuine slice of local flavor with every plate. With fair prices, welcoming service, and a menu that sparks joy and satisfies deep hunger, Obi’s is not just a meal stop—it’s a memorable culinary pit stop on your St. Augustine journey.

Outstanding service, nicely decorated theme environment, but somewhat mediocre food. We visited for breakfast. Grits were watery and not fully cooked. Grilled Breakfast Sandwich smelled a little weird… like grilled with old grease. Bacon and eggs were fine and the coffee was great. I’ll return in the future.

Another incredible meal during our visit to St. Augustine and stopping in at Obi's. It's a must and we've never been disappointed! The burgers are huge, cooked perfectly, and full of flavor! The service has always been top notch and you can't beat the great nostalgic decor on all the walls! It truly is a great place for a traveling family and the locals! A must stop!

My husband previously left a review on 7/16 due to business hour discrepancies and we were informed there had been a family emergency. We joined Obi’s for lunch on 7/17 and Alec was handling a nearly full house (on his own, it seemed). He was very attentive to all the tables and patrons. We were checked in on at least twice! The atmosphere and decor and menu is very awesome, loved all the random car parts that made up the restaurant. The food was top notch also! My husband had The School Bus and I enjoyed The Continental Club! We had a great time and hope to visit again soon!

The best burger anywhere in Florida, and I've checked. The meat meat was fresh and bigger than the fresh bun. Really green lettuce. Pickles were thick, the old fashioned way. Onion rings and fries hubby had were cooked perfectly. The prices? Wow! We're on furlough and this gave us a meal out. Staff, Alexis, was super sweet and knowledgeable about the area. We will return to try out more frequently. Big kudos to Obis!

If you are into automoblia this is a fun place. If you are into good food this is a great place. We had the Impala, a Mexican type breakfast wrap. It was very good. The service was first class. Our drinks were filled if they got below half full. The food was brought out hot, and plated nicely. The server was friendly, and professional. The decor is early horrid.

Such a cute spot. Visited for lunch, it wasn’t super busy so we only had to wait a few minutes. Started with the fried pickles. They were good, maybe a bit thick on the breading for my personal taste but still delicious. I had a wrap with blackened chicken and opted for the onion rings. My husband got the meatball sub. The meatballs were massive. They were both delicious and the onion rings were amazing. It took a bit to get our food because, we were informed, there was a very large to go order that was put in just before ours. We didn’t mind but the very attentive waitress took a bit off the bill to apologize. I would definitely recommend and I would come back.

We went an hour before closing. The food was exceptional and the service equally as great. The staff were all so friendly. All the burgers are like 1/2lb and around $15 for the burger and regular side.

Super cute old school car themed restaurant serving amazing dishes!! I got the Suburban (crispy fried corned beef hash) and my daughter got the Ford F150 (Sausage gravy smothered buttermilk biscuit with sausage, eggs) and both were the best we’ve ever had!!! Alex was an exceptional server with great suggestions! All together the service and food were awesome!! We will be back!
